COVID-19 cases by ZIP code

A USA TODAY analysis of COVID-19 infection rates at the ZIP code level shows that some areas hit hardest by the coronavirus can be found within the same school district as others that have largely been spared — complicating matters for officials drawing up plans for reopening schools. The analysis covered the nearly 10,000 Zip codes, about one-third in the U.S., where health departments routinely report new COVID cases.
